Client

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) promotes and protects Australia’s international interests to support our security and prosperity. In 2024, the Australian Government introduced a new permanent residence visa — the Pacific Engagement Visa. This visa is for people from participating Pacific countries and Timor-Leste and aims to deepen connections between Australia and the region.

Overview

The Pacific Engagement Visa Support Service was developed to provide comprehensive information about the visa program and assist applicants from participating Pacific countries and Timor-Leste with job placement and preparation for life in Australia.

Despite the tight timeframe and limited budget, the project focused on delivering a straightforward yet effective design.

The goal was to clearly communicate visa-related information to both Pacific Island residents and stakeholders, including Australian and Pacific Island politicians. To achieve this, I designed a series of adaptable page templates capable of presenting diverse content types, such as news, events, and resources, in a clear and accessible manner.
